He shoots, he scores

Josh had a basketball game last night. Our team started out a little weak, but by the end of the game we were up by 10. The coach took out the starting line and put in 5 from the bench. Josh was point.... he looks so little out there ... They got the ball down to our side of the court and with less than 15 seconds left, the coach told Josh to hold the ball.
The player guarding Josh was all over him and fouled him... Josh struggled to take a few steps and was basically carrying this kid ... Josh got 2 free throws. He threw the first one up... swish ... nothing but net! The second shot bounced off the rim and came down into a sea of arms trying to get the rebound. One of our players... I'll call him 'A'... got the rebound. This only the second time 'A' has been put in the game. He was swarmed by the other team. Just as he was all but being tackled... several fouls made ... and with 2 seconds on the clock, he threw up a toss. The ball went straight up and just as the buzzer went off, straight down it came .... SWISH! ... The crowd went wild and everyone was yelling at the Ref to give 'A' the game ball.
I was so happy for this kid. He's an alright player but just doesn't get to play much. I like when the bench players get in the game and make great plays. 'A' could probably not play any more this year and still be walking on clouds.

..... and no measurable snow for Friday. Ah poop!
