Kid Stories

Yesterday the boys stayed home by themselves. I told them to call when they got up because I had a few chores for them to do. Their chores were to clean 'their' bathroom and scrub 'both' toilets. I left the soft scrub and a sponge on 'their' bathroom sink and the toilet cleaner was on the washing machine...
The first call came about 9 am. I talked to Caleb and told him what was to be cleaned and where I left the cleaning items. Ten minutes later Josh calls. He wanted to know where the green sponge was... because he once cleaned the bathroom with a green sponge and the sponge I left out for him was blue......welcome to my world..... I told him to use the sponge on the sink and again listed what I wanted cleaned. They called me 4 more times before 10:00 asking where 'this or that' cleaning item was or 'what did you want me to clean?'
I picked up the girls and got home a little after 3 pm. I busied myself with cleaning out the diaper bag and putting things away. Greg showed up to get the boys. I kissed them goodbye and told them to have a good Christmas with their dad. After they left I walked into my bathroom.......
On 'my' sink was the sponge and soft scrub along with the toilet brush.... why is this stuff in 'my' bathroom?? I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen to clean up their 'pizza' mess. Ok, where is the dish soap. Realizing I had asked 2 boys to do the cleaning I went to check 'their' bathroom. Sure enough, the dish soap was on their bathroom sink...... Geeezzzz, what the heck did they clean and what did they clean with. I could do nothing but Roll my eyes....

After all that mess I got out Chuck's present to wrap it. Gracie followed me into the bedroom asking what I was doing. Of course she wanted to help. When I got the tape out to put on the present she says with a concerned look on her face, "Oh, you have 'ben dade'... ah, that translates into 'Band aid' Daddy pesnent beedin?... thats 'daddy's present bleeding... You make it fewel bettor?... translation, feel better.
Then a few minutes later she is sitting on the floor playing with some batteries. It takes me a second but then I realize she is counting them in Spanish.....thanks Dora the Explorer

I love it....where's the blue sponge? It's almost scary, b/c I can see some of that in Asa. Tonight when we read before bed, I hung his jacket up and he got all upset about that. He wanted it back on the chair where it had been all day. sheesh.
I agree, great stories. :)
