Neither a Lender or Borrower Be

Ok, a little lesson in life. If you lend you car to someone and
a) they don't return it right away
b) they park it in an odd location
c) or any other reason you come up with
..... Do not call the Police and say that your car has been 'stolen'.

And when you start your car to warm it up and then put your child in it, always make sure the door is unlocked before you shut it.

I know these are quite obvious but you would be suprised at the call I get

*Sigh* no real crime to fight today

Oh sister you are speakin my language! We had one last night where the gentleman let his son use the car, the son got in an accident and fled the scene, so the gentleman decided to report his vehicle was taken in an armed robbery to cover up for his deliquent kid!

I did the second one once. My oldest was about 3 mos. old and it was the only 70 degree day in April in like forever. Luckily, I had the window cracked and we were right across the street from the Fire Station. The Chief used the jimmy bar and got him out quickly. Ever since then, I put my keys right back in my pocket after opening any door and I have one of those magnetic key boxes under my car.
