Are These For Me?

I came home from work yesterday, walked in the back door and found this beautiful bouquet sitting on my washer. They smelled so wonderful.

5 years ago Chuck and I were married. Josh and Caleb walked me down the isle and my brother-in-law married us.

I love this orangish rose. I took several pictures but couldn't get one that I really liked. I think I need a new card for my camera. Any picture taking advise? I know several of you out there take awesome pictures.

At the time Chuck and I were dating, he was working as a Reserve Police Officer for the town. I was working over time at the County and when Chuck marked On Duty he asked me to marry him over the radio. There were 2 other dispatchers in the room and 3 or 4 officers. My face turned 5 shades of red. After I acknowledged Chuck with an "Affirmative", he met me at the front door with a ring.

This is one of my favorite pictures except it came out a little blurry.

Chuck and I had a nice evening last night. The boys were with their dad and Julia babysat the girls. We went out to eat.... we actually got to sit at a table for TWO... It was a nice dinner. We made a quick stop so I could buy some fabric for my quilting class on Thursday and then headed home.
Nothing over the top. It was just nice to get out with no kids in tow.

awww - happy annniversary!!! Your hubby is one lucky guy :) I am glad ya'll got some time alone. Heck, just having a few seconds to THINK would be nice.

Your flowers were LOVELY. Beautiful. I don't know about your card being bad....it took OK pics. They seemed a little dark..but I can't tell if it was the light that you took the pics in or the camera?? But, they still looked pretty. Usually if you can use natural light, from a window (but not the most direct, bright sun..) just indirect - late afternoon or early morning sun, that makes pictures come out good and softer light...

That is my two cents for what it is worth.

Happy anniversary. That's a great story. Did you get them to pull the recording from the radio channel for posterity sake? :-)
