I'm back in the saddle again. I'm baaack.... great, now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day... Anyyywayyy, today is my first day back to work after a brief pause for family time.
The kids and I spent the week in Tennessee visiting family. We met up with my 2nd oldest brother, Joel and his youngest daughter, Kendall (13 going on 30) at my mom's house. My brother, Pete and his wife Julie have a new baby girl (Avery) so we got to meet her too.
Tuesday we spent most of the day playing in the creek and climbing on rocks in the Smokies. The kids had a blast- best play ground ever. I have a lot to catch up on this morning so I will let you browse some pictures while I tend to bid-ness.
Pete, Asa, Joel, Gracie & Caleb sitting across the creek on a very large boulder.
Here is something out of the ordinary- a picture of me (I'm usually the one behind the camera). Gracie, me & Suzie. Asa and Pete behind us. That water was extremely burrrr cold
Oh wow, another picture of me. Aunt Bekah rocking little Avery. Its a good thing Chuck is fixed or I might be considering another one of these for my very own. ...babies are so sweet and smell so good, and so much fun to cuddle.... ok, I better quit before my mommy hormones start taking over...
The morning we left we got all the grand kids together for a picture... we are missing one grand kid and one great-grand kid... Josh, Kendall holding Avery, Caleb, Asa, Suzie and Gracie. And that's my Grandma in the rocking chair. She is 94 is still full of life... You go girl!...
I mentioned last week about getting some things done around the house. Here is the bunny cage Chuck built. While we were in TN, Chuck said the bunnies some how hopped out and were sitting on top of the tarp. He is going to have to figure something else out.
I didn't have time to find a picture of the front deck before, but here is an after. Last Friday Chuck had the guys that work for him stain the picnic table and decks. I would like to put some railing up around the porch, I think it would just finish off the look. Also I think it needs a little something on the front of the roof... as well as some landscaping around front, but we are slowly working on that.
Here is the back deck. -and a little surprise for me in the bottom left corner...
While the kids and I were in TN Chuck told me I had a surprise when I got home. He went out and bought some mulch for the flower beds. This is the back side of the garage. MIL gave me these hostas a couple of years ago. I really need to move them- they have gotten too big... note the red landscape mulch...
I planted this tree and phlox last year. They are slowly starting to fill in. The area closest to the house was all grass up til a few weeks ago. Chuck killed off the grass with the idea of planting some decorative trees and shrubbery. That may have to wait til next spring- but at least it's mulched and ready to go
So I am off now to catch up on e-mails, blogs and bill paying... (ick)... Hope everyone has a great weekend.

The and porch landscaping look great too!
Looks great. It reminds me that I need to do something with my deck this year. It's in major need of treatment.
