Sounds From The Bathroom

Little Miss 'I-doolit-by-meself' Suzie insisted on going potty by herself. I was busy in the kitchen, but kept my ear tuned for sounds coming down the hall... hmm... Suzie was taking quite a long time.

Finally. I heard the toilet flush and the water gurgle down. Next, running water from the faucet... she always washes her hands... I could still hear the faucet on but now there was lots of banging noises as well. "Suzie? What are you doing in there?"

More banging followed by a different sound of trickling water... now sumptin just aint right... My first thought was Suzie pushed down the sink stopper and the water was flowing over onto the floor. I quickly wiped my hands off and headed for the bathroom.

Suzie called out with great concern, "Mama! It comin back out!"

With that, I leaped to the bathroom door. Suzie stood in a small, dry island, surrounded by a lake on my bathroom floor.

My eyes shifted to the toilet, over-flowing like a water fall. A glob a toilet paper clogging up the hole. "Su-Zan-NAH! How much toilet paper did you stick in there?" I gasped

Suzanna shrugged her shoulders, "I donknow"... yea,right. Half the roll...

Luckily for me the toilet was full of clear water. I reached in and pulled out the wad of paper, squeezing it out before I plunked it in the trash can. The toilet cleared and went back to normal, however, Suzie's little dry spot was vanishing quickly as the lake continued to spread out. Yanking the towels off the rack, I threw them on the floor- in no time they absorbed all they could, and I still had a lake on my floor.

All in all, I used up about 5 towels... great, more laundry... Eventually, I got the mess under control, tossed the towels and floor mats into the wash, and went back to the kitchen to finish whatever it was that I was doing... and guys wonder why girls are sometimes ditsy...*SiGH*

*Note* I did wash my hands before going back to the kitchen... I think (lol)
