For anyone that knows my husband, this story is funny. For those of you who don't know my husband let me give a brief description. He is a country boy. No frills. No fashion. Just basic and simple.... and no, I am not referring to his intelligence level, just his attitude.... Like I said, he is a country boy.
Ok, so here's the story.... For Christmas, Chuck got Nascar tickets to Bristol. The race is coming up here at the end of the month. About two or three weeks ago, Chuck asked me if I wanted to go with him to Angel's house (his sisters). I asked what he was going over there for and I was totally NOT prepared for his answer. "I'm gonna go lay in her tanning bed"
(pause on my part)... "You?" I asked pointing toward his chest and laughed, "You? Are going to go lay In. A. Tanning. Bed.??".... lolololo- yea, that's funny....
He grinned and answered, "Yea! I gotta get ready for Bristol. I don't want to burn."
I laughed again, "You will still get burned out in the sun." Very amused at the idea of Chuck getting in a tanning bed but wanting to be supportive I commented, "Ok, whatever. Just be sure to put on some tanning lotion." But that only led to a discussion about dry skin not tanning and Chuck not wanting to put on tanning lotion...
Me- who has tanned several times a year for the last 20 years vs Chuck- who has never tanned in his life.... After a few rounds I figuratively threw my hands in the air, conceding with, "Ok, whatever"....
Yea, reverse psychology works... Chuck grabbed the bottle of tanning lotion and left for Angel's.
About one week and three tanning sessions later, Chuck was getting ready for a shower and took his shirt off. I poked the pink skin of his back, "Man, you better not go tan today. You're still a little red."
Chuck turned around examining his upper body, "Yea, I wasn't gonna go today."
Looking at Chuck's chest I noticed a butterfly shape of white skin on his stomach. I raised one eye brow and asked, "Why do you have a butterfly shape on your stomach??" I thought maybe Julia had some of those sticker things people use when tanning.
Chuck grinned, "Oh. I laid my eye goggles down."
I cracked up, "Are you serious?? They are supposed to go on your EYES not your STOMACH!"
Chuck shrugged his shoulder, "It'll fade away."
I continued to harass him, "I thought maybe you were gonna show it off at Bristol by parading around without your shirt on."
"Ha Ha" Chuck replied sarcastically.... but I was enjoying my giggle.

Funny! I must say you are lucky to have a personal tanning bed to use when you want!
ROFLOL - It's hard to picture Chuck in a tanning bed. . . his country life has rubbed off on you (& that's GOOD) but you are rubbing off on him too otherwise he wouldn't have thought of doing this. :o) ANYWAY, I don't think you'll have to worry about getting sun burned this weekend. :o)
Love you guys & have a FANTASTIC time.
Hello darlin! I've returned to the land of the living!
Oh boy, that's too funny!
