Calling Memphis

Yesterday I got a call from a young girl broke down on the Interstate. She began to explain where she was...I immediately knew she was not in my area... But when she said just outside of Memphis....I knew she was definitlely not in my area... Apparently she called 411 and asked for a number to an Agency close to Memphis and they hooked her up to me. I suggested she hang up and call 911, adv the operator that she is a broke down motorist and wanted a non emergency contact number.
This isnt the first time 411 has given out the wrong number. There is a City PD on the opposite side of the state that, for some reason, when people call for the number, they get our number. The names of the City or County aren't the least bit similar so I dont know why our number is given. It was such a frequent thing that we found and posted the other City's number in our dispatch. I even went so far one day as to call information and find out why this was happening. Of course they had no expination. I have even suggested to callers to call back information and tell them they have the wrong number. Crazy, crazy
