Strange things a-foot

If something weird was going to happen, one would think it would be today. However, for me it was yesterday. Chuck calls me about 1pm to tell me a tree just about fell on him. He was on a ladder working on a roof. He heard a loud cracking and popping sound. Looking up he saw a cedar tree, about 8 in diameter, falling right toward him. He jumped off the ladder and ran. The tree missed the ladder but was close enough that it would have hit him if he had been on the ladder. He said he had to sit there for a minute until his BP came down.
About an hour later I was driving home. I was about 5 miles south of town and talking to mom on the phone. All of a sudden on my lower back just below the rise of my jeans...ZAP!! Ouch!! Crap, what was that?? Burning, burning, ouch. One hand on the steering wheel, one hand with the cell phone, I don't remember which hand I used to put on my back but my van was all over the road. Its a good thing there was no traffic coming the other direction but the guy behind me must have thought I was plumb crazy...and poor mom had no idea what was going on. I felt for whatever it was, an insect of some sort....still burning and I'm starting to tingle. I pull over abruptly and look in my seat to see what it was. There was nothing there. I reach down the back of my jeans and flip out what looks like a yellow jacket. Where the heck did that come from?? Crap, it's still burning. I'm breathing ok and my tongue isn't swelling but man, I am tingling. I've never been allergic to stings but I wait there a minute in case I need to call for an ambulance. I feel ok, except for the burning sting on my back, and drive on. Sitting here this morning there is a big knot on my back and it still hurts. What the heck??
