I was watching one of my new favorite tv shows called, "Made In America" hosted by John Ratzenberger. Today they were airing an episode about the history of Gatorade. I grew up in Florida and had no idea that this product originated at the U of F and was actually named after the Florida Gators.
Which, that reminds me of the time Wendy (my BFF) and I snuck into the hotel where the M1ami Hurricanes were staying when the were in town playing FSU. I am not exactly sure why we were there. I'm pretty sure we knew the team was there but I don't know why we wanted to see them.
Anyway, we were in the lobby and snuck into the elevator..... most of the hotel was on a security lock down due to the team staying there. You had to be a registered guests to even get into the lobby... I'm still not sure how we got in.... We randomly selected a floor number. When the elevator doors opened we got out and started to walk around, pretending like we knew where we were going. All the room doors were open and there were all kinds of people hanging out in the hallways..... and when I say people I mean very tall, very large, very 'dark' football players....
So imagine if you will two tiny, 'light' colored teeny boppers walking in a sea of... well, out of place in a sea of darkness. We scrambled for the closest elevator, giggling like the silly little school girls we were.
hmmmm, Wendy and I used to have some of the best times...
