Fall has arrived. Monday the temperature was a sweltering 90. Yesterday we only reached 60 and today will be in the 50's. The air smells so crisp and fresh. I took a walk yesterday evening and felt so refreshed and energized. I love Fall!! Yipee!! Doin' a happy dance.
Ok, here are a few of Gracie's latest sayings....
Gracie had just finished a PB&J. She wiped her mouth with a napkin but I noticed she still had a smudge on her face. I licked my thumb and moved to clean her face. "Wass wrong, Mommy? Do I gotta bugga on my chin?"

As I was tucking Gracie in bed that night.... actually I was laying in her bed half asleep... and this was our conversation...
Gracie: "How come up have two babies?"
Me: sleepily "Hmm? Two babies?"
Gracie: "Me and Suzie"
Me: "Oh. Well, uh. Cuz God you to me." as the words left my lips I realized I may have just started something. Where did God get her from? Does she have other parents that God took her from? Why would God take her from someone? Why did He give her away? How was she going to reply??
Gracie: "How come?"
Me: maybe a chance to get out of this hole.. "Well, Daddy and I had so much love that God gave you to us so we could share our love with you." whew, that was quick thinking for being unprepared for such a topic..
Gracie: "Suzie too?"
Me: "Yes. Suzie too."
Gracie: "We went to His house yesterday to visit. We stayed fo little bit and He brought us back home."
Me: Wha?? Where does she get this stuff? "You went to visit God at his house?"
Gracie: "Yep! Juss fo little bit. Suzie cried when we got there but then she was ok. We had fun. We're gonna go visit 'gin sometime."
Me: "You are?"
Gracie: with her fake laugh "Yeah. But He will bring us back so you don't miss us."

Suzie was trying to put on her "Shu Shu" (shoes) the other day. She fumbled with it a bit and then asked for "Hep".
Gracie was sitting next to her. She rolled her eyes and took a deep breath. Waving Suzie's request off and with her exhale comes, "You don't NEED hewp!"

Standing in the kitchen Chuck was talking to Gracie. Apparently she wasn't happy with how the conversation was going because the next thing I hear Gracie say to her dad is, "Listen here, Fat Lips!" I sat up on the couch, looked at Chuck and asked, "Did she just call you Fat Lips??" Chuck's response was a simple Blink Blink.
Now before you think my child is a disrespectful hellion, let me say this. Chuck and Gracie are always telling each other "Love you Big Fat much", plus Chuck does have full lips. I'm pretty sure Gracie was just going for a laugh, and a Big Fat laugh she got

Adorabubble! I'd love to read an extended conversation between Suzie and Gracie. Do they do that?
Can I go to God's house for a visit? Man those girls have way more fun than I do...
She is so funny. And hey, maybe she did go to God's house for a visit. I've heard of children being taken to heaven. Ask her for details. ;)
Love you. Tell Fat Lips hi for me. heehehe

Your kiddos are just too darned cute.
How cute!
So funny! I just love what kids say. It's good you wrote it down, because it is too easy to forget these funny things!
Love this Bek, I agree w/Rachel, maybe she dreamed she went to God's house - ask her more about it. They are too cute. Give them a BIG hug for me and tell "fat lips" hello too. :o) Too cute!!
Love Mom/Mamaw
I love the "fat lips"--that's too cute. All out of the mouths of babes. Gotta love it!
