Bursitis-Itis

Wow- its been almost a week since my last post. I have no excuse or reason other than I just haven't logged into blogger. I've had plenty of time at work but haven't felt up to it. Ok- maybe there is one reason why I haven't been online so much lately. My shoulder and upper arm hurts.

Our desk at work is 2 or so inches higher than it should be. It is surprising how typing and using mouse with your arm elevated like that can cause so much trouble. Anyway, it started hurting several months ago and I figured it was maybe some sort of tendinitis, but went on about my life trying not to pay attention to it. But then I over used it and really made it hurt.... I can't even lift up my purse...

I went to Dr and had an MRI. He thinks its just bursitis... swelling in muscles and tendons from repetitive use... He gave me a cortisone shot and some exercises, however it is still very sore- but I will give it the three weeks he recommended. Until then I can't pick up Suzie or even play toss with Gracie cuz it hurts so much... she is signed up for her first year of T-ball...

The only thing left to say about this is that the "30s" STINK! I sure hope my 40s (which are approaching rapidly) are a sight better.

Yuck! Having a sore shoulder and arm is no good - I hope that cortisone starts working fast!

I know what you are feeling, I would think the cortisone should have kicked in by now. Maybe you should check back w/Dr. Have fun w/Pete & kids.

Love ya

I pray you get some relief soon! And that they reassess your work space!

Yes...I would be pushing for a more ergonomic space....you can't continue on like that. Geesh....you could even go as far as worker's comp if you need to get more treatment. I hope you feel better soon.

Yup...I agree, 30s is when you start to feel it. I thought i had a few more years before I got achy...oh well. Gotta exercise!!!

oh, and the 40's? Don't count on em being "a sight better". Though I know people in their 60's that get around better than I do...Maybe it's just me....:D

can you get them to spring for a higher chair, so at least you can sit up those 2 extra inches? tell them they can avoid a workman's comp claim if they make small adjustments :)
