Gracie and Suzie spent Friday with Mamaw. Chuck went out there about noon to get some farm work done. Gracie tagged along every where Chuck and Papaw went. She helped bail hay, clean out the fence row and pick up sticks. (actually she sat on the 'follow wollow' and watched daddy)
While bailing hay, Papaw injured a little baby bunny. He brought it to Gracie, who was up at the house taking a break. She talked to the little bunny, trying to encourage him to hop. Mamaw realized that the bunny just wasn't going to make it. She talked Gracie into taking him down the hill so he could go home. They put little bunny into a basket and Gracie carried it the whole way. Mamaw said she grunted and struggled a few times but she wouldn't relinquish the basket.
While walking down the hill Gracie stopped to put the basket down. She cupped her hands to her mouth, yelling, "Maaa-Meee Buuuunyyyy". She picked up the basket and walked a little more. Again she stopped, put the basket down and called, "Maaa-Meee Buuuunyyyy."
At the bottom of the hill the set little bunny on the ground. Gracie pats his head and says, "You Mommy Be Right Back!"
After a long day of work and play, both girls needed a bath. I was tired and wanted to get them washed, dried and in their jammies. As I was getting Gracie out of the tub I scratched her with my fingernail. "Owwee!" She says, "You Cratched Me! Big Time!!".... big time???
The other day Gracie was playing pretend. Chuck came in the house and walked into the bedroom. Gracie fell to the ground and said, "Oh, My Weenie" A silent pause.... Chuck leans back, sticking his head through the door, "Did she just say...." I interrupt him, rolling my eyes, "Yes, she just said..." my voice trails off. I tell her that's not a nice word for a little girl to use.
As if she knew exactly what she was doing she says, "Oh! My Nuts!".... Smack to my forehead! ..."Gracie!..."..... I am going to have to have a talk with the boys, and Brandon, too.

I had to laugh at little Gracie...that is so cute. And the poor little bunny....yea, we never know what is going to come out of our kids mouths, do we?
LOL!! Too funny!
And the bunny story was so sad. Poor bunny. How bad was he? Couldn't he be nursed to life?
Love, Rachel
Yep, my five year old does that too. "Mom! Tori hit me right in the nuts!" But honey, you don't HAVE any...Uhhh...
She just says "Oh!" and walks off.
Whatever...
