Her Wit Is Quick

Chuck and his dad were working all morning in the garage putting tracks on the skid steer. They were making an awful racket- banging on metal, dropping tools on the concrete floor and running the air compressor.

Suzie, snuggled into the recliner watching cartoons, had just about enough noise. She pushed her blanket off, scooched out of the chair and stomped over to the storm door leading to the garage.

"You guys be quiet!" Suzanna commanded of her Dad and Papaw. "You're scaring the dog!"... Cricket (our dog) was in the garage snooping and sniffing at all the activity- enjoying the company, wagging his tail...

Chuck looked up and saw Suzie standing at the door, "We aren't scaring Cricket" Chuck laughed, "He's helping us"

Suzie huffed, a dash of sass mixed in with disbelief, "No. He's. Not! He doesn't have any hands."

LoL- ah yes, she was quick on that one. And smarter than she knows. Cuz without opposable thumbs, Cricket couldn't really be much help. Unless they needed something lubed up and he could slobber on it.

Rebekah,

You know Suzie is getting to be so smart! I guess the guys are no match for her!

We call our dog's front paws her hands and her back paws her feet. I know, it's silly. Sometimes I wish she could talk...I bet she would tell me a thing or two.
