Her Realistic Perception

The other night the girls and I stopped by the firehouse to visit Chuck- but first we stopped by Wendy's to get the girls some dinner to eat on the picnic table outside the firehouse.

Arriving at the firehouse, the girls ran inside to give their daddy lovies. Then Chuck and I got them set up outside at the picnic table to eat their nuggets and fries.

The girls drug out their dinner time by continually getting up and running around, enjoying the beautiful afternoon. I was in the firehouse with Chuck talking with the other firemen and watching the girls from the window.

Gracie came back in the firehouse and Chuck got after her, "Go sit down and eat or you will be going to bed without any supper!"

Gracie grabbed a bottle of ketchup out of the frig and started back out the door. She paused to respond to Chuck, as innocent as innocent can be, Gracie replied, "But I don't have a bed here." and out the door she went.

The dayroom filled with laughter from Chuck's fellow firemen. Chuck tried to hide his smile as he scolded his brothers, "You guys aren't any help!"

One of the firemen laughed out a reply, "Well, she's just being realistic.

That she was. That she was. And there is no denying- she gets it honest.
