Several times over the recent weeks Chuck has asked me to pick up some aftershave when I go to the store. Absent-minded I keep getting him shaving cream.... blame it on the brain fog...
The other day the girls and I were picking some things up at Walmart. We strolled past the health and beauty department when a light flashed- After Shave!
I quickly turned the cart around and strolled down the shaving isle. I stopped in front of the aftershave and grabbed a bottle, "Lets pick out some aftershave for your dad." I pulled off the cap, took a sniff, then handed the bottle to Gracie, "What do you think of this one?"
Gracie grabbed the bottle and inhaled, "Its kinda strong but its tight."
I started to reach for another bottle of aftershave and Gracie's words ran back through my head.... did she just say tight?... Scrunching my brow and allowing a crooked smile to grow across my face, I turned back to Gracie, "Did you just say Tight?"
Gracie smiled shyly and nodded.
I shook my head and chuckled, "Well what does tight means?"...I'm guessing this is some slang terminology Gracie has picked up at school...
Still smiling, Gracie shrugged her shoulders and passed the bottle to Suzie so she could have a sniff.
We test-sniffed a couple more bottles and ended up picking the first bottle. So, my assumption would be that tight is a good thing.... my little Gracie is growing up way to fast- 5 going on 16...

This is too cute. Our pastor did a sermon last week on the languages of our teens these days and "tight" was on the list. Like cool was in our day.

Oh I hear ya. My husband made the mistake of letting the kids watch Austin Powers (more than a few times now) and the other day my 5 year old started repeating some of it. He called me a fat bastard....
